"So I had been thinking of setting up a company for some time, but had been put off by all the form-filling and the need (so I thought) for documents to be signed in the presence of a solicitor etc. Nonetheless, I had taken a day off on Friday to get it all sorted. At about 9.30am I telephoned my solicitors to be told that there was nobody for me to speak to, but that someone would call me back and that it would cost in the region of £700.
